Impact Campaign

Through strategic partnerships with local organizations, scientists, educators, and policymakers, the campaign will spotlight the ecological importance of Rhode Island’s wild coastline—from offshore waters to barrier beaches—and the species that depend on them. Special emphasis will be placed on key conservation challenges, including climate change, sea level rise, biodiversity loss, and human-wildlife coexistence.

Full campaign and all toolkits and lessons plans are expected to be done by World Ocean's Day 2027. Please check back for more materials leading up to this date.

About the Campaign

The Ocean State Impact Campaign is a multi-platform outreach initiative designed to extend the reach and real-world impact of Ocean State: Rhode Island’s Wild Coast. Led by Running Wild Media and Silent Flight Studios, the campaign transforms storytelling into action by connecting audiences with the people, science, and solutions driving coastal conservation.

At its core, the campaign offers a suite of tailored educational toolkits built for classrooms, community groups, and institutions. These resources align with curriculum standards and provide engaging, film-based learning experiences that deepen understanding of Rhode Island’s ecosystems, seasonal changes, and the species that depend on them.

Complementing these materials are curated film events and screenings that serve as community catalysts. Hosted in partnership with local organizations, these events are designed not just to inform, but to inspire—creating shared experiences that encourage stewardship and amplify conservation messaging.

The campaign also features panels, talks, and live discussions with leading conservationists, scientists, and local experts. These conversations provide audiences with direct access to the voices behind the work, offering insight into current challenges, ongoing research, and tangible ways to get involved.

Together, these services create an integrated impact ecosystem—bridging film, education, and community engagement to foster a deeper connection to Rhode Island’s wild coast and drive meaningful conservation outcomes.
