Ocean State: Rhode Island’s Wild Coast is a four-part Ocean State Media documentary series exploring Rhode Island’s diverse marine habitats, wildlife, and conservation efforts—from the shores of Block Island to the depths of the Atlantic—through stunning cinematography and storytelling by award-winning filmmaker Tomas Koeck.
Premiering this winter on Ocean State Media, PBS’s Rhode Island affiliate, Ocean State will unfold in seasonal installments through 2027 and be available for streaming on the PBS Passport app.

Impact Campaign
This groundbreaking documentary series will highlight the diverse and fragile ecosystems that make Rhode Island unique. We are working hard to produce an impact campagin and educational tools to assist environmental non-profits, educational institutions and other advocacy groups to help reveal the wildlife and ecological relationships that define the Ocean State.

Mission
Over the next two years, the team will produce:
• A host-driven documentary feature showcasing several different species of terrestrial and marine life as well as the organizations that work to protect them.
• STEM presentations designed for a wide array of audiences. These presentations will feature some of the researchers and cast from the film.


Social Focus
The documentary will explore some of the region's most interesting environmental focused NGO's, community based organizations, and scientific institutes. The individuals that make up these organizations fight every day for the survival of the natural world.
